rPath Linux 0.99.0 is a lot like rPath Linux 0.70, only with fewer bugs, and now on the shiny new conary.rpath.com@rpl:1 label. In particular, automount works with GNOME; OpenOffice.org has working dependencies; and firstboot, gimp, and gdm runtime requirements have been fixed so that they will work even if group-gnome is not installed. Security updates include php for CVE-2005-3353, lynx for CVE-2005-2929, and libungif for CVE-2005-2974 and CVE-2005-3350.

rPath Linux 0.99.0 includes the 2.6.14.2 kernel; we have found that this kernel cannot see at least some devices on the PCI bus on one very new nForce AMD64 motherboard that we have. We are investigating this problem. All our other testing has been successful on multiple hardware platforms.
