Documentation News
rPath Documentation at wiki.rpath.com now includes pages that cover creating and maintaining development branches. These pages include: shadowing, merging, cloning, comparing trove revisions, and version string terminology and structure:

The rPath Docs Team has created instructional modules for maintaining appliances using rPath Appliance Platform (rAP) plugins.
System administrators with appliances in their care should use the Appliance Administration pages at wiki.rpath.com as a reference. These pages transclude the new rAP plugin docs and will soon transclude the content from the Conary QuickReference. Click "Appliance Administration" on the main page of the wiki.
Appliance developers configuring rAP for appliances should view the updated rAP pages at wiki.rpath.com, including the Plugins pages with instructions for including, configuring and using rAP plugins. Click "rPath Appliance Platform" on the main page of the wiki.
These sections of the wiki are in continual growth to cover the many features of rPath technologies. As always, rPath encourages you to use the discussion tab at the top of a page to provide feedback on its content.
Sometimes it's just all about aesthetics. The rPath Docs Team has updated the MediaWiki skin for wiki.rpath.com to better match the new look of the corporate site (www.rpath.com). The skin has been tested in several browsers; be sure to let us know if you have any trouble viewing the docs.
The rPath Docs Team has revised the rBuilder Online Appliance Building Tutorial:

Also, all tutorials are now linked and described at a single main "Tutorials" page at wiki.rpath.com:

The rPath Documentation Team has worked on wiki.rpath.com to make documents easier to find by topic. We have updated the Main Page, including the restructured list of Categories. Now, every page on the wiki has at least one Category with which it is associated.
Use the Main Page as a starting point for finding documents by topic, including those in the family of documents that apply to software appliances, rPath products and services, and rPath technologies.
Use a category link at the bottom of a wiki page to see an dynamically generated index of all pages in a single category. The moment a page is identified as being in that category (with the appropriate "cat" markup), it appears in the category index.
Use the Categories link at the bottom of a wiki page to see a list of all categories.
This is our first step in making the wiki documentation easier to find and use. Look for more announcements in the coming weeks as we work toward this goal.
