Hindsight of Foresight

Foresight and other Linux partitions consume my 20 GB /dev/hda in my desktop. My 40 GB /dev/hdb contains a single large Linux partition with all my "data," meaning everything I wish to preserve when I reinstall or upgrade an OS. I also have a 20 GB drive at /dev/hdd that I had hoped to format as a Linux partition so I could split off different types of data on the different physical device.

All this was fine until I realized that I needed to install my licensed Microsoft Windows XP again. I hear you saying "Bah! Who needs Windows?" Well, in the long term, I do not need it at all. However, in the short term, there is some software (such as Dreamweaver) I own that I need to use in Windows until I become accustomed to Linux alternatives. Unfortunately, I'm unable to install it without writing files to my primary master (IDE) drive. Therefore, I have two choices:
1 - Redo my primary master, installing Windows in a small slice and then reinstalling Foresight
2 - Move the cables around inside the box to exchange hda and hdd, partition the new drive in preparation for both Windows and Foresight, install Windows in one new partition, and either install Foresight on the new drive first or copy the root filesystem from the current Foresight install and just install grub on the new drive

For simplicity's sake, and because I wouldn't mind going through a Foresight install again and starting with a fresh system, I'll probably just do the first choice.
